Religious Education
WELCOME TO THE ST. ANDREW
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM!
· Mission Statement: The Religious Education Program provides a Catholic belief environment to all participants. We offer religious education for students from kindergarten through the eighth grade as well as confirmation preparation for students in high school. Families are encouraged to participate in religious education every year. At present we have 800 students enrolled in the program! We are blessed to count on 152 parishioners who volunteer their time & talents in order to share their own faith with our parish children.
· Sacraments: Children are prepared to receive the sacrament of First Eucharist in second grade. The Sacrament of Confirmation is received in eighth grade or high school. We also provide classes for older students who need to receive First Eucharist as well as classes for students of all ages who have never been baptized. In the Archdiocese of Miami, as well as here at St. Andrew, sacrament preparation classes are 2-year process unless you attended in another program last year. If so, bring a letter from your former parish.
... to be continued.
